Mr Gerald (Gerry) Collins

Consultant Urological Surgeon

A graduate of University College Cork, Ireland, Mr Collins trained in General Surgery in England and Scotland before specialising in Urology. His MD Research was conducted with Edinburgh University and The Mayo Clinic, Rochester, USA.

His specialist interests are in Uro-Oncology, with particular reference to prostate cancer. He has initiated a programme on optimising bone health in prostate cancer patients, especially those on or about to start hormone treatment. He has continued his research interests throughout his career and continues to publish on a regular basis.
