About

My career in urology has been driven by two things: curiosity and enthusiasm.

I come from a line of doctors dating back five generations. My grandfather saw patients on horseback in rural Ireland. I see them across a desk in Manchester, and sometimes on a screen from the other side of the world. The medicine is different. The instinct is identical.

While I have spent decades scanning prostates and researching PSA testing – collaborating with institutions like the Mayo Clinic and Edinburgh University – I believe that clinical data is only as good as the relief it provides the patient.

But as a surgeon, I am equally committed to the “Art”: eliminating the “wait and see” anxiety through clear, data-driven decisions.

I specialise in:
✅ Uro-oncology (Prostate, Bladder Cancer)
✅ PSA Testing & Diagnostics
✅ Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH)
✅ General Urology

Life in and out of Scrubs

Medicine starts with listening. These quiet moments of reflection are where my best clinical insights happen. 💡🍷

A proud moment being awarded by the Mayor of Limerick . Feb'22

Back home in Limerick. To me, being a doctor is simply about being a trusted source of help - wherever it's needed.

Sharing a special moment with a patient. This profession is built entirely on the trust and the bond we share. 🤝📸

An honour to meet President Michael D. Higgins ☘️. We shared a wonderful conversation.

It's my 29th year in theatre and I’m still as excited and grateful as my first day in Cork. If I’m not evolving, I’m not living!
